Fall is just starting to turn the air chilly. The trees are beginning to change colors as the nights slowly grow colder and longer. As time marches towards winter, frost will begin to appear in the mornings and the lake will slowly start freezing over. Predictions say this will be a hard winter, which is a good thing, Thread will not ravage the surface this winter but instead fall as harmless black dust onto the ground.

Threadfall:

Falling once or twice a week, the menace has returned to plague Telgar.

The Red Star:

Still visible it has reached the midway point for the pass.

The Weyrs:

Telgar is officially open for business. The Weyr is slowly filling up with riders and personnel and will be taking on its new responsibilities within the month. With the flight of Gold Imolith, Raine Terrace has become Senior Weyrwoman. With an inexperienced Weyrleader straight out of Weyrling Training, how will the Weyr fare? Stay Tuned.

Rumor Mill:
Bets are being placed on size of Imolith's clutch and also on how long Weyrleader T'lor will survive FALL.

Rumor also has it that Raine is madly in love with T'lor and that is why such an inexperienced rider won Imolith's Flight.

The College:

Classes have resumed for the year at Fort Hold. With Weyrs going on search for the year's Candidate base, the teachers are not happy. Rumor has it they are even turning some Weyrs' dragons away.

The Holds:

Still struggling, the people living in the Holds are hoping for a break from the monotonous work day while still going about their usual task of trying to improve their surroundings and quality of life.

Telgar Hold will host a Harvest Gather and the Weyr had been invited.

The Infirmary

Located next to the Weyr Bowl entrance of the Lower Caverns, this too has a regular Bowl entrance as well as a huge cavern for whatever dragon patients it may have. The Dragonhealers and Healers share this facility. There is an intensive care unit close to the offices of the various Masters and Journeymen. Also within the facility are many store rooms full of various herbs, potions, powders, bandages, and other Healing supplies along with the everlasting smell of pungent numbweed.

The On-Call Ward This is were the patients, mostly Riders, who need constant care and observation stay. It is located in a cave opposite the Healers' offices and close to the beginning of the supply rooms. The hallway between the offices and the ward is large enough for a gold dragon to walk through with partially spread wings. This is so that a Rider's lifemate can come to poke their heads in on them occasionally. The Dragon Ward This is where the injured dragon's who need constant care and observation are cared for. The huge cave has exactly 21 dragon couches and wallows scattered throughout it. Two human-sized passageways lead off of it. One connects to the Medic's hallway and the other to the Vet offices.	0	0	Dec 31 69 7:00 PM
Apartments This is where the Head Medic and Vet as well as Journeyman Medics and Vets live. They each get their own apartment that usually consists of two rooms: a sleeping room and a living room.
